A day by the zoo!

Many moons ago I used to be a wedding photographer, and to date, nothing has so far managed to persuade me to take up the role again. However, nothing could stop me taking my camera along to my daughter Laura's wedding, and I enjoyed taking some wedding images again, although for once, without any of the stress :)

It was quite a special day for me for one reason or another, and getting to see my lovely daughter Laura finally get married to one of the nicest guys I've ever met, was amazing; welcome to the family Mark :)

A seat was saved for Stuart at the front... R.I.P. son :( x

The weather was absolutely perfect, with low autumnal sunshine providing an ideal opportunity for some gorgeous backlit imagery.

The speeches were given by the groom, best man and the groom's grandfather, who kindly gave a tribute to my son Stuart.

Once the food and speeches were dispensed with, the newly weds headed to the dance floor for the traditional first dance.

As I hadn't turned up expecting to be doing a huge amount of photography I left the flash gun at home, so the images under the pagoda in the evening proved to be difficult, but we improvised with guests shining their phone lights onto the couple! I think we all did a great job :)

Laura and Mark got married at Applewood Hall which is within the grounds of Banham Zoo.

Sadly, if you are looking for a wedding photographer, you probably won't be able to persuade me to start again :P But if you are looking for portraiture, check out the main gallery and please dont hesitate to get in touch.
